Check Our Journey

Established in 2023, EcoLiving has reached 3 big cities in Indonesia, involving more than 150+ housewives and youths, and reducing more than a ton of food waste within a year.

How does EcoLiving work?

EcoLiving is a food waste management program that uses systematic and efficient application-integrated waste processing. The program will provide waste collection facilities, process waste into compost, utilize the compost as worm feed, produce fish pellets from worm-based materials, and subsequently market the products to generate income. The EcoLiving implementation will focus on educating the community about household waste sorting and transforming food waste into environmentally friendly products. The hope is that education on food waste management will enhance the interest and motivation of the community to manage their food waste at home independently.

To run this movement, EcoLiving involves housewives and youths in Rampal Celaket, Klojen, Malang, East Java Province, Indonesia. The team consists of EcoFighters, composed of housewives who synergize with EcoRangers, consisting of youths, in carrying out this initiative project, with collaborations with various stakeholders to ensure the success and sustainability of our efforts in environmental conservation and waste management. The indicators of success in the implemented activities are the reduction in the amount of food waste generated at the household scale and the increase in income based on the sales of products. The implementation of EcoLiving will certainly collaborate with various parties, such as the government, NGOs, educational institutions, publication media, business actors, local heroes, and the community.
