Kedungkandang (malangkota.go.id) - To educate the community about the utilization of organic waste, Cemorokandang Village, Kedungkandang, Malang City held a training on processing organic waste into Eco Enzyme in the meeting room of Cemorokandang Village, Monday (3/4/2023).
The training, which was opened directly by Cemorokandang Urban Village Head Ahmad Ridwan, SE, presented speakers environmental activists Yusuf Karyawan and Evrida Hartini.
Ahmad Ridwan revealed that this training was a community empowerment activity. Where in this activity training is given on organic waste management which has been a problem which is then processed into eco enzyme which is very beneficial for health and the environment.
"We want this activity to invite the community to be able to handle waste starting from home with the hope that in the future the volume of waste that must be disposed of in landfills will decrease," Ridwan explained.
Meanwhile, training resource person Yusuf Karyawan revealed the many benefits of eco enzyme. Besides being one of the wise solutions for waste management, eco enzyme is also very beneficial for health, agriculture and the environment.
"Making eco enzyme is also very easy, utilizing fruit peels, vegetables that have been organic waste combined with brown sugar or molasses," said Yusuf.
Yusuf said eco enzyme can be applied to clean the kitchen, wash dishes, mop the floor, clean the bathroom, clean vegetables, wash hair, soak sore feet, be used as organic fertilizer, kill bacteria and also treat burns.
"But because it is made from waste fermentation, eco enzymes can only be used for external use, not for drinking," Yusuf explained.
This activity was attended by environmental cadres, TP PKK, Karang Taruna and all environmental activists in the Cemorokandang Village area.
