The PKM-PM EcoLiving team led by Risa Salsabilla (Agroecotechnology 2021) with Hafiz Okta Ramadhan, Wahyu Rizki Pratama, and Zulfikar Dabby Anwar has organized EcoAction I and EcoAction II activities to provide education and training related to waste management by utilizing earthworms through the participation of housewives and young people. The activities took place for 6 weeks from June to September with a total of 23 monitoring sessions.

As an extension of the Zero waste concept, EcoAction I and EcoAction II activities also provide education related to inorganic waste management through the Smart Integrated Zero waste concept and other waste management techniques. The implementation of EcoAction I invited Ghufron to be a resource person related to household organic waste management. Not only that, in EcoAction II - EcoLiving involved Bank Sampah Malang to strengthen understanding of the waste management system. This activity also invited Mrs. Efrida Hartini, A.Md and Mr. Yusuf Karyawan who became resource persons on the topic.

The benefits of EcoLiving activities have been felt by Arik, one of the participants in this activity. Arik feels that the household waste produced can also be utilized into products that are valuable and sellable.

“What we know is only processing waste into crafts, it turns out that there are so many products that we can process from waste. Even rainwater can be processed into drinking water. It is hoped that EcoAction activities can bring fresh air in the application of the Zero waste concept through inorganic waste management through waste banks and organic waste through earthworm cultivation.
